农村金融发展与农业经济增长:“门槛效应”还是“瓶颈效应”? 收藏

简 介:本文使用PLSTR模型在县级层面探究了农村金融发展与农业经济增长间的关联机制。研究发现:农村金融发展对农业经济增长的影响具有显著的门槛效应,当金融相关率低于门槛水平1.55时,金融发展对经济增长的影响体现为金融排斥,而当其跨越门槛值后,二者将呈协同发展态势;农村金融发展同样存在瓶颈效应,当金融相关率超过2.4后,效率将达到极限,此后金融扩张非但不能促进增长,反而还会增加金融风险;目前全国多数县级农村的金融发展已跨越门槛,呈现良好发展态势,但是部分县存在过度金融化的隐患,尚需进行平衡治理。

简 介:This study investigates the association between firms’ political connections and their likelihood of being involved in fraud. The extant literature has documented several motives to commit fraud,such as the fear of failure to meet analysts forecast (Yu,2008),the need to comply with debt covenants (Church,McMillan,& Schneider,2001) and the pressure to raise funds from the financial market (Dechow,Sloan,& Sweeney,1996). The literature has also shown that a firm’s political connections could improve firms’ performance by allowing it to expand to more markets (Luo,2003),accessing capital more easily (Wu,Wu,& Liu,2008),easier access to bank loans (Claessens,Feijen,& Laeven,2008),lower cost of capital (Boubakri,Guedhami,Mishra,& Saffar,2012),greater likelihood of securing government contracts (Goldman,Rocholl,& So,2013),and enhancing its monopoly status (Naughton,2008). Therefore,firms with political connections could also be less likely to engage in fraud than their counterparts without such connections,because such connections could bring many benefits to the firm,and the pressure to manipulate corporate data is lower in politically connected firms.

简 介:Since the first wave of large-scale M&A in the United States in the early 20th century,M&As have grown rapidly in the world’s major economies and emerging markets. The trend has continued in the 21st century. Existing research on M&A mostly focuses on premiums and performances,on the selection of M&A targets is much less discussed. In fact,target selection is the first important decision in any M&A,and it is also a key determinant of its outcome. However,information asymmetry in the control market necessarily leads to poor target choices by the acquirers. Recent domestic and foreign scholars have shown that the quality of accounting information,especially comparability,plays an important role in the target selection of enterprises’ foreign investment. Accounting information,as a formal mechanism of information transmission between enterprises and external investors in the capital market,can more comprehensively reflect the operating capacity,debt repayment ability,profitability and growth of potential target enterprises. At the same time,stronger accounting information comparability between enterprises can also reduce the amount of time needed for acquirers to compare potential target enterprises,and also the information noise and risks in the selection process. From the angle of accounting information quality,it is of great value to analyze whether enterprises with comparable accounting information are more likely to be targeted for M&A.

简 介:With the deepening of the economic system reform in China,drastic changes have taken place in relations between workers and employers. Automatic job placement and lifetime employment are replaced by two-way choice and contract employment,and mobility in the labor market has increased. Job mobility,like geographic mobility,is an important field in the study of mobility. When job mobility is mentioned,people often think of turnover. In fact,job mobility refers not only to moving to a different employer,but also to position changes within the same organization and career changes. According to Börsch-Supan (1987),job mobility is understood to include three kinds of job changes:job changes within the same organization and occupation (intra-organizational mobility,such as promotions),the change from occupation to another occupation (occupational mobility),and the change from one job in one organization to a new job in another organization (inter-organizational mobility). And the process of mobility is often more complex in the real labor market (Neal,1999). Parnes (1954) has pointed out that large proportions of the job changes made in the labor force involve a change in industry,occupation,or both.

Because an internal control system covers all aspects of a business,it is appropriate to use an index to characterize and reflect its internal control level. Internal control is affected by the Board of Directors,management and other personnel who act according to rules,policies and procedures to deal with risks. Their goal is to promote enterprise development and ensure the legitimacy of business activities,the safety and good value of the assets,the authenticity of the financial reporting,the operational efficiency and effectiveness of the business.
