Abstract：Reviewing and summarizing the science popularization system, resource integration, and overall development of Beijing science popularization work since the “13th Five-Year Plan” period, Beijing's science popularization resources organization and coordination capabilities have been further enhanced during the “13th Five-Year Plan” period, science popularization resources have grown in an all-round way, and science popularization international exchanges have reached a new height. Based on Beijing and national science popularization statistics, the Beijing Science Popularization Development Index was calculated. Since 2008, the Beijing Science Popularization Index has continued to increase, reaching the highest level in history in 2018, which was 5.11. Chaoyang District, Dongcheng District, Haidian District, and Xicheng District are the main areas to promote the development of science popularization in Beijing. , The contribution rate of the popular science development index of the city's core functional areas rose from 13% to 29%.
