改革开放以来,中国经济出现了一个典型现象——“迷失的货币”,即广义货币供给增长率超过了国内生产总值与居民消费价格水平的增长率之和。本书首先回顾了货币迷失的发生背景并进行了国际对比,比较系统地分析了货币经济学主流理论的缺陷,考察了非主流观点的解释力。本书发现,中国货币迷失产生的原因在于中国经济的结构性变化,它与中国货币经济表现出的货币内生性、利率外生性、银行信贷(资金可得性)融资主导模式等特征密切相关。本书借助一个货币与经济增长关系的分析框架对这些特征进行了说明。此外,本书发现,加入了中国实践的制度变量后,“迷失的货币”可以在总量货币需求函数中得到解释。最后,本书指出了货币迷失的现实政策意义。
