哈佛大学在75年里追踪了724个人的一生,发现幸福的婚姻不仅保护我们的躯体,还能保护我们的大脑;不幸福的夫妻报告更多的躯体疼痛,因为坏情绪放大了痛苦;那些在80岁身体健康的被试报告在他们50岁时婚姻比其他人更幸福。几乎每个人在步入婚姻时都期望美好,幸福的婚姻生活,可是为什么有些伴侣随着时间的流逝,越来越幸福,而另一些伴侣,却越来越痛苦,甚至离婚 该报告在已有研究的基础上,以西方的研究结果作为对比,主要是从3个关系模型的视角,探讨在婚恋关系中影响关系满意度的主要因素,测试在我国的文化语境下,伴侣关系发展进程中的不满意因素与西方国家的亲密关系的不满意因素的相似性和特异性,考察其结果是不是符合在西方已经被验证的持久动力模型、幻灭模型、以及危机模型。 该报告的理论基础是婚姻模型,以依恋风格、关系状态、关系冲突、关系幻灭,激情,关系稳定因素为基础,用横断研究,纵向研究,行为实验等研究方法,探讨了这几种因素对亲密关系满意度的影响。该研究的主要目的是测试幻灭模型的观点(例如:关系稳固,激情,幻灭)和危机模型的冲突的特征(争论,谈判, 日常事务)对我国夫妻和个人的关系满意度的影响。 该研究的价值在于,找出了一些影响了婚姻关系质量的因素。其次,研究结果启示了婚姻中的夫妇怎样识别风险因素,改善夫妻关系,修补婚姻。
