青年志愿者帮助HIV感染儿童的初始动机

摘要

青年志愿者为什么参与AIDS志愿服务?本研究以9名非营利性AIDS志愿组织中直接为HIV感染儿童提供服务的17~23岁青年志愿者为研究对象,通过半结构式个别访谈探讨其帮助HIV感染儿童的初始动机,并以主题分析法建构结果框架。结果显示,受访志愿者具有独特的AIDS相关知识、经历与态度,表现为对艾滋病有知无畏、对HIV感染者因接触而理解和接纳,且基于此受到多重初始动机驱动参与AIDS志愿服务,包括感受他人痛苦或需要(如恻隐之心)、感恩图报(如以帮助内群体转报曾受恩惠)、追求正义(知觉他人不公处境)、秉持助人信念(如践行长期助人信念)、共享与传承志愿精神(如榜样力量)、获得经历与理解(如了解特殊群体)以及自我探索(如生涯探索),其中感恩图报、共享与传承志愿精神体现了中国文化相关的志愿服务动机倾向。对AIDS志愿服务初始动机的深入探讨,有助于理解这类群际亲社会行为的成因与助力,亦可为AIDS志愿组织招募与保留志愿者提供启示。
