交通发展、区域集中和经济增长

摘要

“新经济地理”理论表明,交通成本与区域经济集中度之间呈倒U形关系。本文使用中国地级市数据分析交通发展与经济集中度之间的关系,并估计交通存量的点效应和网络效应,测算其相对规模。本文的结论如下:城市道路的发展促进制造业和第三产业GDP增长;主要区域道路也有同样的效果。城市道路和主要区域道路都存在点效应,城市道路和主要区域道路也都存在溢出效应。最后,不同类型的交通基础设施具有不同的经济影响。政策影响是,在快速城市化进程中,随着城市和区域交通发展,核心区与外围区域的经济增长差距将继续扩大。
