15px;">思想政治教育根源问题是思想政治教育学研究中的基础理论问题、元问题。这一问题最早是由我国思想政治教育学科开创者之一郑永廷先生提出的，他认为这个问题是整个思想政治教育学科的立论基础与理论基石，并在多篇论著中对这个问题进行了探讨。杨威教授作为思想政治教育学科领域里的青年学者，一直致力于思想政治教育学科的基础理论研究，尤其是对思想政治教育发生问题、根源问题进行了较为系统的研究，相继获批了两项国家社科基金项目，出版了一系列论著。本书稿是他多年来对思想政治教育根源问题研究的理论成果，在该成果结集出版之际，作为他的硕士与博士导师我感到十分高兴与欣慰。</span></p><p 15px;">思想政治教育根源问题在我指导杨威进行博士学位论文写作的过程中专门探讨过。我们也曾合作推出“思想政治教育实践根源”“思想政治教育认识根源”“思想政治教育价值根源”等研究成果。但这些研究都只是粗浅的，还需要进一步丰富与拓展。本书是一本系统深入研究思想政治教育根源的专著。杨威在学界已有的研究基础上，对思想政治教育根源问题展开了多维度、深层次、创新性的研究，特别对思想政治教育的物质根源、政治根源、文化根源等进行了深入探索，在诸多方面形成了独到的学术见解，拓展了思想政治教育根源研究的视域和深度。综观全书，可以发现几个突出特点。</span></p><p 15px;">第一，注重以马克思主义基本原理为指导，并深入人类社会实践之中，从人类社会与人自身发展的深层需求出发揭示思想政治教育的根源。思想政治教育实践是从人类社会实践的总体中产生、形成的，并随之不断变化、发展。揭示思想政治教育的根源必须将其置于人类实践的总体架构与系统运行中。本书从马克思主义有关社会存在与社会意识、经济基础与上层建筑、社会物质关系与思想关系等辩证关系原理出发，分析人类的物质生活、政治生活、文化生活对思想政治教育的内在需求以及思想政治教育实践满足这些需求的内在机制，揭示了思想政治教育的物质根源、政治根源、文化根源，深化了对思想政治教育产生、形成、发展之必然性、客观性的认识，提供了一幅全景式的理论分析图景。</span></p><p 15px;">第二，注重从社会发展与人的发展相结合的角度，聚焦社会政治意识形态发展与人的思想政治素质发展，深入探讨思想政治教育由以产生的社会根源与个体根源。与以往关于思想政治教育价值的研究视角不同的是，本书运用逆向思维的方法，从社会发展与人的发展的内在需求以及思想政治教育对这些需求的满足关系来审视思想政治教育的根源，而不是从思想政治教育系统来看其对社会发展与人的发展的功能与作用。不仅如此，本书还通过对社会全面进步与人的全面发展、政治社会化与个体思想政治素质养成、人的社会性与个性等关系的辩证分析，将思想政治教育社会根源的分析与个体根源的分析有机结合起来。这就为我们把握思想政治教育产生的社会必然性、思想政治教育发展的个体推动力，提供了更加开阔、丰富的理论视角。</span></p><p 15px;">第三，注重将理论分析、历史分析与现实分析相结合，着重回答无产阶级思想政治教育产生的社会历史根源，尤其是中国共产党思想政治教育产生、形成、发展的现实根源。本书从基础理论研究的视角，对作为普遍的、客观的人类实践活动的思想政治教育产生的社会历史根源进行了研究。本书还重点突出了无产阶级思想政治教育产生的重大历史意义，探讨了无产阶级思想政治教育形成、发展的根源，尤其是科学社会主义运动与人的自由全面发展对思想政治教育实践提出的新的历史需求与社会条件。不仅如此，本书还从科学社会主义运动的发展、中国共产党的百年发展，尤其是新时代中国特色社会主义建设的实际出发，将理论与历史的分析运用于对中国共产党思想政治教育存在、发展根源的阐释，体现了强烈的历史意识与现实关怀。</span></p><p
