In recent years, China has comprehensively promoted the rule of law. The legal reform has achieved remarkable results and the construction of the rule of law has continued to develop. The reforms and the development of rule of law have complemented each other. China has made continuous progress in the building of the law-based government, environmental protection, cyber law, and the codification of civil law, etc. Finland\'s economy is developed and the rule of law is sound. It is of great significance to strengthen the legal exchange between China and Finland.
This book is a collection of the papers of the 8th and 9th Sino-Finnish Seminars on comparative law jointly organized by Institute of Law of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and the Faculty of Law of University of Helsinki, Finland and other institutions. The content involves legal reforms, law for sustainable development and environmental protection, law for internet and artificial intelligence, codification of civil law, and other hot issues in the current rule of law construction and legal research in both countries. We believe its publication will contribute to the exchange and mutual learning between China and Finland in the field of legal culture and legal system, and provide theoretical and intellectual support to the development of the rule of law in both countries.
